Homespares was established in 1962 by Douglas Farnworth in Bolton. Over the years we have evolved to encapsulate many names and brands but it began as WML Ltd (Washing Machines Lancashire Limited).
Today, WML Industrial Holdings Group consists of three companies with Homespares being the largest trading company of the group.
Homespares - What We Do
A diverse business, Homespares started off selling spare parts for domestic appliances but nowadays we do more - a lot more. We now carry over 13,000 items in stock which we can supply within 24 hours.
This means customers can rely on our stock, instead of having their own. In the rare event that we do not stock the part, we have access to over 1,000,000 additional spare parts covering 5 million models from a wide variety of manufacturers.
Next to spare parts, we have developed our range to include accessories and consumables for in and around the house. This encompasses products in a wide variety of product groups such as air & water purification, floor care, garden & outdoor, home & DIY essentials, home entertainment (including sound & vision), kitchen, home laundry and personal care.
Many of these products are available under our own private label brands Unifit and Homespare but also under other well known manufacturers' brands - covering most of the requirements of our customers and thus becoming a one-stop-shop for them.
So where do we sell our products?
Our product range is equally as diverse as our customer base. Traditionally, we supply our products to domestic and commercial engineers but throughout the years our customer base has grown tremendously. Nowadays, we can count independent electrical shops, DIY shops, ironmongers, department stores, garden centers and many other independent retail shops amongst our customers. We are also proud to say that we supply to many national retailers such as supermarkets, DIY, electrical and home furnishing stores. Only one point of contact, one parcel to receive, one invoice to pay; a true one-stop-shop experience to make your life easier! We offer great support given by friendly, committed and helpful staff. Many of our team have been with us for a very long time - we have an average employment period of more than 13 years, which reflects in our excellent customer service.
